NSW: Driver of stolen car kills pedestrian and flees
BRISBANE, Dec 22 AAP - A pedestrian was struck by a stolen car and killed in Brisbane
today, raising Queensland's holiday road toll to two.
A Queensland police spokeswoman said a man, believed in his 30s, was struck by a hit-and-run
driver and died at the scene at 3.45pm (AEST) on Mount Gravatt/Capalaba Road.
The car had been stolen from Redbank Plains earlier today, police said.
"The man died at the scene and the driver of the vehicle took off and ran down Belcaro
Street," the spokeswoman said.
"We haven't been able to locate him as yet."
The driver was wearing a blue singlet, dark pants and a red baseball cap.
